i checked the uploaded file permissions

am I able to use multiple templates on one site ?
i’ve tried many times so that first page has it’s own template, default template… then some part of pages has one template and another part some other template, but it just doesnt work

yes you can, but if you select a template for one page, and click a link on that page which take you to another part of that component, then it just displays the default component

hmm… what settings do you have in thunderbird? What method are you using to send emails in Joomla?

im just using community builder and entering admin@localhost as the registration emails, but when i go to register, i can user admin@localhost, as the email services spam free format is checked, so if i use admin@127.0.0.1 it doesnt work

im only havin these bloody problems in the first place as somewhere along the line between when a user regsiters on my site, and their account for smf is being set up their passwords get changed so their password works for the joomla site but not for the forum part

I’d like to change templates for it, and found joomlashack, however, I don’t know how to find 1.5 templates. I assume I can’t use templates for 1.0?

supergreg, in joomla/templates/js_yourtemplate/images you’ll find the template heading that’s being used and normally one without a logo.
you can either just replace the file, or you can modify joomla/templates/js_yourtemplate/css/template.css
simply replacing the logo is quite ok. Just remember to fix permissions afterwards if you change them.
