If I remember right, I went first to my tracker, then to my issues, then to the front page and the front page I got the suspicisious ip bit
It’s a dynamic IP, but rarely changes… A few times a year, maybe, unless we turn off the router for a while

I have just been playing with the bulk ‘unblock’ functionality from the admin user page and noticed it does not send account approval emails when used. Is this by design or a bug?

I believe this is intended.
Drupal normally does not send mails when you edit an account.

the scenario that made this apparent was this. We have users sign up and await approval.. There are about 500 pending accounts. If we edit each individually and set status to active then they get the ‘admin approval’ proforma. If we try a bulk activation (or unblocking), this mail does not
get sent.

oh, that would be a bug, i guess.

If, as you say, this is by design then I suppose we have no choice but to write something to override this behaviour. I would have assumed that it worked differntly

ehm… it’s as stable as the rest of the Panels API. panels_mini itself is super simple code. The more complex changes were made in the panels module itself, to allow for panel styles. Any panels implementation can use it.
in that case, use Panels 1, and install the panelsblock module.

What is the best function to display a view of a node in my own custom function that will look similar to what you can do with hook_view? or can I use hook_view inside of other functions ie. $output .= hook_view(….)

And it should probably also come with a default front page that’s a panel with some demonstration areas.

I have seen some modules do funny things like making their own weight “module X weight + 10″
but I think in general that is safe
I do that _all_ the time – I always backup the db first
I think that’s easier, really, since you can make the db backup once – update your 10 modules – if it’s broken rollback and if it works delete that backup

It seems unlikely to me too, but I read a forum post once, back when I first started drupalling, and they encouraged the running of update.php after every module update, as in a one-at-a-time scenario. I’ve never seen it addressed in the handbooks.

You might take a look at taxonomy lineage; it sets up a nested trees pattern to ‘thread’ nodes by taxonomy term. While that’s not quite what you want, you could probably copy what it does.

I have a theme installed which doesn;t seem to support secondary tabs under /user, and I can’t where what would be causing this
The tabs aren’t even in the source code when viewed from a browser, they just aren’t there in one theme, but there in all other ones

hook_menu is the answer but it adds it to navigation. not necessarily the administrative menu (if you’ve branched those out) just make sure user_access is correct to restrict its access to those with permission

there are very few static vars in xmlrpc.inc

Because I’m getting back the same result every time, even after I’ve hard-coded the result to something else. It’s possible I’m somehow calling the wrong xml function, I suppose, but I don’t know how to test for that.
