I have a problem in my Fedora 7 system. Suspend stopped working and when I insert a DVD in the player I get a “Error org.freedesktop.Hal.PermissionDenied.” It all used to work. The only thing I remember doing in the configuration was to disable some services (nfs and Networkmanager, I think.)
What could be causing this? Everything works fine with root.

caffealburro_, the problem is that your particular router’s chipset is a conexant proprietary chipset and the os either pays royalty to them or doesnt get the driver. You will need to follow the link kindly provided by viking-ice
