yes. you shouldn’t have multiple drivers/subsystems duking it out for the same hardware. if you’re satisfed with the support provided by sata/pata then all else can be removed.

I’m having troubles installing nvidia-legacy-drivers. The package compiles fine, but when it goes to install, it errors out saying “sys-libs/glibc-2.6 does not actually suppor tthe nptl USE flag!”. Am I missing something, or is this bug report material? (~x86)

hello… is there any ‘extra’ step that needs to be taken when setting up ssh keys for passwordless login when setting it up to a normal user account? I scp my ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub to root@remoteHost:.ssh/authorized_keys and login with root – all fine. If I do exactly the same with a non-root user, it fails and falls back to password auth. Just can’t work it out…

I’ve been trying all day to get php5 to support mysql…. Anyone gotten it to work?

Why can I not compile a package to support a server without actually installing the server? This seems like a very simple thing.

It is kde based but you dont need to run kde to use it.
